About the resource

Editorial policy

Primary sources, visible scope and clear limits guide the content.

Source hierarchy

We prioritise legislation, Official Journal corrigenda, official national sources and court or government material. Article references identify the basis of a legal explanation. A recital provides context; it should not be presented as a substitute for an operative provision.

What a review date means

An updated date identifies the editorial version of a page. It does not imply that every national regime has been checked on that date. The corrected EU temporal scope was verified against the 7 May 2026 corrigendum. Some full-text EUR-Lex retrievals were blocked during preparation; article references and source checks require a final complete-text review before public launch.

Jurisdiction and examples

EU Directive explanations are labelled as such. No national implementation claim is published without an official national source. Fictional scenarios illustrate the questions and do not report an actual case or predict an outcome.

Corrections and publication

Errors should be corrected in the relevant content record and documented in the source repository. New country records require an official instrument, commencement and dated source check. Indexing is enabled at the owner’s request. Ongoing additions follow the same source and correction standards.
