The primary EU framework and the correction that matters for product scope.
The legal framework
- Directive (EU) 2024/2853, consolidated record ↗
EUR-Lex consolidated record incorporates the Article 2(1) correction. The authentic legal acts are published in the Official Journal.
- Original Official Journal text, 18 November 2024 ↗
Read with subsequent corrections. Older copies may carry the superseded Article 2(1) wording.
- Official Journal corrigendum, 7 May 2026 ↗
Corrects the temporal scope to products placed on the market or put into service after 8 December 2026. The 9 December 2026 transposition deadline in Article 22 is a separate provision.
- EUR-Lex national transposition measures ↗
A research route to notified measures. Verify adopted national legislation, commencement and transitions before reporting a country as implemented.
What was checked
The May 2026 corrigendum and official indexed operative provisions were checked for the Cluster 1–10 expansion on 16 October 2026. Article references identify the primary legal basis; additional instruments appear on the relevant articles. Some direct EUR-Lex requests returned an automated-access challenge, so indexed official text was used where necessary. No qualified legal review or Member State implementation finding is claimed; national-law verification remains separate.
